Update

November 20, 2004

Just a few days ago, Van contacted me via e-mail. It was certainly good to hear from her again; she was a real active member of After 7.

My sister and her hubby celebrated 3 years of marriage a couple of
months ago (still going strong). They were trying really  hard to
get pregnant but were unsuccessful. They’ve since relaxed and
decided to let nature take its course, so we’ll see.

Dad is still keeping  himself busy. He was running for County
Commissioner (the only Black to do so), but he lost out. It was a
very close race. Since then, he’s done some travelling. He is
involved in so many clubs, associations, etc, that I can’t keep
track! In May they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary; my
sister put together the program.

I just started my new job at FT Shafter. I work at the Help Desk at
the Pacific Theater Network Operations Security Center. I  handle
calls from all the bases on the Pacific Rim (Japan, Alaska, Korea,
Hawaii). It is fast-paced, but not terribly challenging.

Mitsy (fiancee) has found her creative side. She is making holiday,
birthday, and special occasion cards, using specialty papers, inks,
and embellishments. Her work is so good, friends and family are
paying her, instead of going to Hallmark!

I have moved my blog back to blogspot, the free hosting service. I am hoping that the blog will show up fairly soon.
